I think that the $4.95 / month is a small amount to pay for access to their databases at Ancestry. You certainly won't find all of your ancestors on all of their databases, but by-and-large, I think the benefits outweigh the cost. In our case, I am a subscriber, but am able to look up for my family and help out with occasional queries for friends and acquaintances. Sometimes I am able to help others, while I help myself. I am certainly willing to do that, to a certain extent;however, to reap the full benefits of Ancestry, I think one would need to be a subscriber themselves. I'm pleased with it, but I have realistic expectations, I think <G>. R
