Thomas Piles, b 1787 in Loudoun County, Va., died 1863 in Preston County WV. married Maria Riley around 1835. Thomas came from Loudoun Co. around 1790 and settled in Preston Co. Va., originally Monongalia Co. He and Maria lived on Bird Creek. Their children were: 1. Caleb Piles, b 1836 married to Jane Manley 2. John Curry Piles, b 9-11-1839 at Birds Creek 2. Sarah Ellen Piles, b 1-7-1842, married Nathan Harrison Miller. 4.Daniel mitchell Piles, 8-2-1845, married Mary Katherine Miller 5. Keziah Piles, 3-2-1847 married Adam Trembly 6. Thomas Piles, 1850, married Barbara Reed.
