> Hi, I don't think we are related, but wish we were. I have been trying to find George's family for years with no luck. My George was born 1813 near Phoenixville, Pa. married Mary Jane Wilson at Cincinnati, Ohio 1840, moved to Godfrey, Illinois where he was chaplain to the Monticello Female Academy. My Gr. Grandfather, Theodore was born 1843 and George was dead by 1845. She was pregnant with her second child George who was born at Cincinnati after the death of her husband. There were no more children. Theodore was the only surviving child. It is possible that the Rev. George had siblings but have been unable to find out names of them. Good luck on your search. Hope we can make a connection. My grandfather was Earl Ora Pyle, 1897-1985. His death certificate lists his father as George Washington Pyle and his mother as Sara Elizabeth McBride. This George is certainly not the good Reverend, but perhaps a descendant? My grandfather was born in Butler, Bates Co. MO and died in Arizona. He was survived by one sister and one brother whose names may have been Adrienne E. Pyle and Glen E. Pyle. Just started researching my Pyle ancestors. Can you tell me whether or not we're kin? > > > ==== PYLE Mailing List ==== > PYLE Listowner- Sara B. Pyle > pyle@airmail.net > Copyright 2004-Poster retains copyright > >
