    3. Nancy, We are talking the real Ernie - and what a sweet, loving person he was! We have read about everything we can find on him, plus all the books he wrote. We have been discussing the personality traits of the Piles/Pyles and how, thru the generations, the traits have seemed to stay so strong. I can only go back three generations that I have know personally; my husband, Don, his mother, Bea, and his grandfather, Given Elwood, and they all three were/are gentle, peace loving, and oh, so honest people. I have a picture we took off a website, but we don't have an honest-to-goodness photo of the gravesite. Lucky you to have been there. Keep on trying, I'm sure you will find your connection. Could I please send you a check to cover the cost of copying and mailing a photo to us? Thank you so much, Connie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jack Pyle" <sherlock@terragon.com> To: <PYLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2004 2:29 AM Subject: RE: [PYLE] Pile/Pyle Family Research in England > Hi Connie, > > > We're talking the famous Ernie Pyle, the World War II correspondant, right? > Does your husband have a photo of Ernie Pyle's grave marker where he's > buried in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Punchbowl National Memorial?
