George: James Pyle SR of Orange co. NC is my 5th gr. grandfather. I am descended through Caleb Pyle this is the part of the family that made the move to middle TN. in the early 1830's, Marshall Co. Giles Co. and Lincoln Co. TN. What I have on William Pyle son of James Pyle SR is that he died intestate abt 1832 He was married to a Hannah (ukn) children include Joel C. Pyle Lydia Pyle married Jacob Friddle Hester Pyle , I believe this is the one that married James Pyle the son of James Pyle JR. Mary Ann Pyle Jeremiah Pyle Rachel Pyle Sarah Pyle What happened to William at this time I do not know, I have found a William Pyle in the 1830 census of Lincoln Co. TN along with a Joseph Pyle this would be possible as Henry Pyle , Williams nephew was at that time living in Giles TN. In 1830 most of the southeast corner of Giles co. was a part of Lincoln co. Tn I do believe that this was William and Joseph Pyle and I haven,t been able to find them again . Its like a dead end here on this one.
