The will of Hans Black dated 1806 mentions a son of theirs, Nicholas Pyle. Had Jean also died before this will? Yet the Pyle book states, ..." his will in Orange Co., NC names brother Joseph Pyle, and his son Samuel Pyle, also names brother-in-law, John Hall and his son Samuel Hall." Does ' his son Samuel' refer to Samuel's son or Joseph's son? If he has a son Nicholas, why was he not mentioned? It is quite possible that the Orange County will is Samuel PIKE. Can anyone shed some light on this?
