    3. Steve Do you have anything on Aniss ( Anna ) Johnson b. 1827 in Ky., m. Ratliff Boone Piles b.1824, he is the son of Daniel Piles & Nancy Atkin or Atkinson., I think that they were married in Ill. and move to Mo. There last child Henry Louis Piles and he changed the ( i ) to ( y ), He m.Sarah Groves. One of their kids was Ernest ( Ernie ) Pyle , I found out that he is not the war correspondent, He was a carpenter and was on Wake Inland, the Japan hit Peril Harbor and he was caught by the Japanese and spent the war as an POW. He is buried somewhere around Boise, Idaho area where he lived. Carl Woods

    3. Not the same Ernest Pyle. He was not in the war. He was called up but peace was declared and they told all men who were over a certain age to step out and go home.
