I think you should keep an open mind regarding this 1813 Breckinridge Co KY William PYLE-Nancy JONES marriage. Taking a look at the PYLE Book, I really don't see anything that looks like documentation that William PYLE married Nancy KEYS. All you have is the 1810 census information that shows that William was "between wives". And if Lucretia KEYS and Nancy KEYS were sisters, it's hard to imagine that Nancy would have been unmarried through all those years between when Lucretia married (1784) and when Nancy then married (after 1810). Seems more likely that if Nancy were Lucretia's sister, then she would have been a widow when she then married her brother-in-law, William PYLE. I would look for a Nancy KEYS/KEYES to ____ JONES marriage, possibly back in VA, or possibly in KY, as one possibility. Or maybe the second wife Nancy was not a KEYS at all. Does anyone have documentation to support the claim that Nancy was a KEYS? I sense that Harrison might have been Nancy's child, but the way Lucretia is mentioned in William PYLE's 1814 will, I would guess that she was older, a child of Lucretia (no documentation, just a feeling based upon the order in which the children are named, several times, in the will). Any and all comments appreciated. Jim Smee Pittsburgh PA
