I have gotten a lot of responses on my Sumner Tennessee connected great great grandfather William Pyle. Some of the leads I am still perusing. I have been searching for my grandfathers parents for many years. I believe his father was Jehu Pyle, because this name keeps coming up in places that count, but at this point I still do not have proof. I keep coming back to the following data. Jehu Pyle the son of John and Sarah (Baldwin) Pyle married Rutha Lindley August 8, 1786. Rutha Lindley was born January 7, 1768. The dates match somewhat, my William Pyle was born 1805, that would have made his mother 37 years old when he was born (?). I do not have any birth date for this Jehu Pyle.
