    3. Thomas, you said your uncle John Howard Pyle had an opportunity to visit the site where Ernie Pyle was killed, and had a photo of that site. Where was it exactly? I have read a lot about Ernie Pyle and I have seen several sites mentioned. I posted a message where I said the site was Iwo Jimo and this is just west of Okinawa.
