    3. The following obits were sent by Linda Fiddie at [email protected] These two obituaries were in the Thomasville Times newspaper in Thomasville, GA this week. Maybe they will be of interest to someone on the list. Floyd Lundy Pyle Sr. Services for Floyd Lundy Pyle Sr., 76, of Quitman, are at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Justice and the Rev. Keith Humphrey officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Pyle died Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Brooks County Hospital. Born in Barwick, Ga., he was the son of Tony Lee and Flossie Lee Green Pyle. He was a grocer in Brooks County for more than 55 years and a charter member of Northside Baptist Church for 45 years. Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Pyle of Quitman; a daughter, Barbara Ives of Quitman; three sons, Jimmy Pyle of Quitman, Lee Pyle of Morven, Floyd Pyle Jr. of Dixie; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. -- Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home Gladys M. Pyles Services for Gladys M. Pyles, 85, Cairo, are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Heritage Chapel, with the Rev. Keith Pearson officiating. Interment is at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo. Active pallbearers are Stanley Baker, Ricky Baker, Shane Baker, Mark Baker, Rodney Baker and Jermany Baker. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Heritage Chapel. Mrs. Pyles died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Born Dec. 19, 1914, in Leon County, Fla., she was the daughter of Arch Mathis and Sarah Melissa Boutwell, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Pyles lived most of her life in Cairo and was married in 1945 in Grady County to James Arthur Pyles, who preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1982. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Cairo and was a retired food processor. Survivors are sons, David and Danny Pyles, both of Cairo; and daughters, Jewell Baker, Tunnell Hill, Betty McGuire, Cairo. -- Heritage Funeral Home
