PYLE of Dade Co MO" was granted land neighboring that granted to William PYLE (same day in 1859) in Dade Co MO. A William K. PYLE received another neighboring land grant. (Not sure if that's the same William). Interestingly, a Joshua PYLE of Dade County MO was also granted land in the same Dade County township in 1845. (Not sure where he fits in.) There were quite a few other Missouri land grants to PYLE that I did not get a chance to look at. If Carter's census records say he was born in KS, and the family oral history is that he died in KS when Hib was about 6, maybe folks ought to be looking for Carter or his widow Emily/Emeline in KS in 1870.
