Wondering if this is from Edward G Pile line. He is buried in San Jose, Oakhill cemetery. Edward G Pile traveled overland 3 times from Ill. His 3rd and last trip was with the Pile/Whiteman party. Also, he traveled with the Donners for a brief time before seperating from the group which was to find themselves stranded in a snowstorm at what is now knows as Donner Pass.....etc. His sone, Edward Pile/Pyle Jr. was a member of a rescue party and married Mary Ann Graves, a survivor of the disaster.
