Census records indicate Alfred was born about 1820 in Indiana and Frances was born about 1822 in KY. Some sources say Frances was Frances Jones, daughter of Lewis Westmoreland Jones, born 9/4/1822. Same sources, however, seem to believe the Alfred she married was born in 1806, which does not jive with any census record. Alfred & Frances Pyle show up in the following censuses: 1850 - Polk Co. Iowa 1860 - Missouri City, Clay Co. MO 1870 - Nevada City, Vernon Co. MO 1880 - Henry Twp, Vernon Co. MO They had the following children: Mary A. Pyle, b. ca1841 in IL Elizabeth Pyle, b. ca1843 in MO Hester Pyle, b. ca1846 in IA Daniel Boone Pyle, b. 3/31/1849 in IA, d. 1882 Cordelia Pyle, b. ca1852 in IL William Pyle, b. ca1856 in IA Harrison Pyle, b. ca1858 (twin) in MO Henry Pyle, b. ca1858 (twin) in MO George Washington Pyle, b. 5/17/1863 in MO, d. aft 1930 I descend from George Washington Pyle. He married Sara Isabelle Barnett around 1890 and they moved to Independence, KS. They had the following children: Alice Pyle, b. ca 1891 Roy A. Pyle, b. 5/23/1894 in MO, d. 11/1/1965 in CA Earl Ora Pyle, b. 5/23/1897 in MO, d. 12/26/1985 in AZ George Pyle, b. 5/20/1900 in MO, d. Nov. 1977 in AZ Glenn Ellis Pyle, b. 3/20/1903 in KS, d. 11/18/1993 in AZ Anna Pyle, b. ca1906 Merle J. Pyle, b. 5/19/1909 in KS, d. 7/9/1972 in CA Another Pyle relative was named Adrienne E. Pyle.
