I don't believe that census is available on-line. I thought you might have access to it as an Ancestry.com subscriber(?) If not, I can order this microfilm from the library, and would have the info on him in a couple of weeks. Again, I think the result of that exercise would be to show that this Lewis was an entirely different individual, a descendant of the more northerly PYLE lines. The presence of your "Lewis" (age 45, born PA) right in the midst of all those Zachariah PILES descendants in 1850 (Greene Co PA) really makes me think he belongs in that line. Would really like to be able to establish that. Zacahriah, by the way, is believed to descend from Francis PILES (1660-1727) of Prince George's County MD. That's my PILES Family brick wall. 3. I checked Lewis Pile on Ancestry.com as you listed and when I zoomed in on page 31 image 61, I got Lewis Pile in the Philip Husband, 30 male, household and Lewis was listed as 3/12 old. This was the only Pile on the page. Isn't this fun???????? I am a subscriber to Ancestry. Maybe you ordering the film might be the way to go for now. I'll email a distant cousin of mine just outside of Macomb, IL tomorrow and ask him if he'd look up Lavina's obit and what he might find on Leis Pile, Pyles. He has something to do with the Library there, I can't think of what now. I've got to go to work early in the AM as it's the big shopping day.
