    3. I have been searching for years for the family of my Pile/Pyle ancestor who settled in Texas in about 1849. He came from TN with family and friends and wound up in Harrison Co., Tx. He was in the 1850 census in Marshall, Harrison Co., Tx. His name was Sidron/Cedron Pile/Pyle and he was born in about 1802 somewhere in Kentucky. He married the first time (unknown). They were in Alabama for the 1840 census with no children listed. Then they moved into Tennessee and had three children: William Milton Pile, b 1840 in TN Sarah Etta Pile, b November 18, 1845 in TN, m. Robert Hudson 1859 in Harrison Co., TX Milo Smith Pile, b July 24, 1847 in TN, m. Letha A. Bunch in 1867, he d June 19, 1933, Rusk, Cherokee Co., TX 1st wife either died after the birth of Milo, or they divorced, because by 1849, Sidron/Cedron had remarried. This time to widow Juliann Boswell Freeman. Their children, born in TX, were: Thomas C. Pyle, b abt September 12, 1849 Rufus R. Pyle, b July 4, 1854 in Harrison Co., TX., m Harriet Rachel Barton in Rusk Co., TX and moved to Upshur Co., TX., he d July 23, 1920 in Upshur Co. If someone can give me any information about any of these people, I would really appreciate it. 3. Hi Doris, Henderson Pile (Pyle when he died) died in 1899 in Nebraska City. I have his obit. He was born in Fentress Co. TN in 1819, married in 1840, we know not where, to a Dorothy Westbrooks. NOt sure of time frame. I just read somewhere that a Pile had gone to TX. I show a Johnson Pile, born in TN, supposedly went to TX in 1849. Don't know if he's related or not. I have to move my search elsewhere as I'm not finding anything in TN. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/VVBBAEB/551.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Valerie, THANKS! The info you gave me is great! What I know is rather limited. Edward S. Pyle married Maude C. Brous late 1800's. They most likely lived in or near West Chester, PA, though it would seem that Maude Brous was from Chester, PA. They had two children Florence and John. Florence was my grandmother and died sometime in 1950's. She had a millinery shop in Coatesville for a few years, prior to her marrainge, around 1917. I've heard stories that she had quite the shop and it did a great business and her hats were sought after, locally. I never knew her. The brother, John (wife's name not known), had at least one son Kenneth Pyle of West Chester. Kenneth was married to Mildred (maiden name not known). And I don't think they had any children. That's all I know about this part of the family. And that's kind of vague. Any and all insights will be welcomed! I've done better on some other ancestral lines, here in Chester County, but I'm finding this one an ongoing challenge! Thanks!

Do you know what area of Chester County you are looking for? Do you have a specific time frame for them? My cursory review shows two listings at the Old Union United Methodist Cemetary in Wallingford PA: Edward T. b. 1853 d. 1919 also a Thomas Edward b. 11/6/1873 d. 10/27/1914 The Social Security Master Death Index shows: Edward H. b. 4/30/1909 d. 2/22/1991 Edward b. 7/4/1917 d. 10/1964 Maude b. 2/10/1889 d. 5/1977 in West Chester PA 19380 SS # 204-40-8434 I didn't see anyother Edward or Maude's but will keep them in mind while looking. If you know the date range that they lived and a general area perhaps I can keep my eyes open more specifically for you. I work in the Chester County area and oddly enough every time I go to a new cemetary in a new area I'm working in I usually find family, just have to connect them in to the line. If you know the parents names for Edward or any brothers or sisters, maybe I can tie them in to more of the info I already have. You will find that more and more of our family are getting interested in this and are starting to share what info they have. Good luck in your search and when you have more info let me know. I'm willing to help you out if you want. have a great day!
