    1. Re: [PYLES] John and Eliza (cont'd some more)
    2. Jodi, After sending that last e-mail, I just noticed that you only have an approximate date of death for John PYLES, so no tombstone, I guess. If I were you I would look for your Luther PYLES (possibly PYLE!) in the 1900 census for Daviess County MO (since you think he left in 1902). It would tell you where and when he was born, and you might be surprised who some of his neighbors were, and who is raising him. Your local library should be able to order copies of microfilm from the National Archives (rented for about $3.50 per reel for maybe six weeks). You would start with the 1900 Missouri SOUNDEX reels with code P520 (PILES/PYLES) and P500 (PYLE). Check with your library or get back to me if you need additional guidance on doing this. Yours should not be too difficult a problem. Just takes a little time and luck. If we can place your John PYLES (or PYLE!) by getting an idea where and when his kids were born, then I can likely help tracking back from there, as I have a pretty good handle on earlier generations. I don't get the feeling our lines are closely related, but that remains to be seen. Meanwhile, get back to me with any other clues you come up with (prior questions) and I'll keep looking. Jim Smee /////////////////////// Looking for info on John and Eliza (Stamper) Pyles.  They had 5 children: Mary, Laura, Grace, Ervin, and Luther (born c1885; to Wyoming around 1902).   John was killed around 1891, and Eliza died around then too.  Grace was raised by a Williams family, Laura and Luther by an uncle, Frank Stamper, and Ervin and Mary by another uncle, Bill Pyles.  Laura married a fellow by the name of Coffee...Thanks, Jodi

    3. Anyone have the follow connections in Illinois: Wilson, Luther, Land, Knight, Carr, Martin, Turner, Austin, Potter, Cleveland, Phillips and Hughes. These were all spouses of Pyle in the White Co. IL area. They were all children of Ellison and Elander Pyle, brothers - son of Nicholas Pyle and Eliza Towell. Elander and Ellison both married Wilson sisters. I am from the Wilson line. 2. Our Isaac stayed and died in Wayne County, Indiana. His brother Samuel went to Illinois. In the Pyle book page (458) it states that Samuel stopped here in Wayne County to visit his cousin John M. Pyle in Franklin Twp. Samuel may have has a son Isaac also. Our Isaac married Orpha Addleman. Shirley
