Looking for information on my GGGrandmother Sarah Ann (Pyle) White, b. abt 1835 in GA, d. abt 1873-75 in Van Zandt Co., TX; she married Thomas H White, in either GA/TN about 1845/46, They appear to have traveled through AR on their way to TX ending up in VZ Co., in 1870, I am hoping to find out who Sarah's parents and sibling were, where she married Thomas?? Sandy, We have traced our branch of the Pyle family back to Ireland in the 1700's and are now settled in Southern Ontario, Canada. ---My Great, Great Grandparents were Thomas and Margaret Pyle who emigrated to Canada during the 1700's. Thomas was the son of Samuel Pyle and Jane Heaslip of Cork Co., Ireland who did not leave. We would very much appreciate reading your Source List to see if we could make any connection with other branches which may have led from or to our own. Thomas/Tom: I saw your message to Sandy, and being a curious sort, am interested in your name. I knew a Thomas Pyle who was with the Robert Shaw Chorale in NYC, but I heard he was killed in an accident a number of years ago. I heard of another Thomas Pyle who was with one of the television networks in NYC, but never met him. Being a Thomas Pyle (the III) myself, your note caught my eye. I fear that my genealogy studies are more than a bit lacking, but would be interested in hearing from you and comparing notes.
