    3. Lee and others, My Grinnell family line starts to my knowledge in WI>MN>then WA. Elmo Grinnell married George G. Griffin. The census her daughter Marie in on says her mother (that would be Elmo) was born in WI. Marie was born in 1888 MN and her father George G. Griffin was a dentist in Seattle as early as 1889. I think he traveled here with the Grinnells as he was born in PA and is on the 1880 census living with his parents. I only know that these Grinnells may also have had relatives living in Spokane as well. Have been searching some census records and city directories to find some hints but not enough to really connect it all yet. Elmo may have died in childbirth after a third daughter. I believe one daughter besides Marie is named Carrie. The name Elmo sounds strange for a woman but it is very clearly written on Maries marriage license. By that time her mother was deceased but I am not ruling out the possibility that it may be spelled differently on other records. Thanks for the help and hope that this is of a little more help if your family Lee knows some King co. Grinnells. I am with out a computer till this weekend and have used a friends Juno account to view my own today. It may be a while till I am fully back on line. So I will check every so often from here. Thanks All, Kathie
