The next Seattle TMG Users Group meeting will be Saturday, February 9, 2:00-4:30 p.m., at the Broadview Library, located on the corner of N. 130th & Greenwood Ave. N. The neighborhood is served by Metro Routes 5 and 302. The meeting room at Broadview Library is provided to us free of charge by Seattle Public Library. However, the meeting is not sponsored by SPL, and they ask that we not park in the Library's parking lot. Please find parking on the adjacent side streets. Thanks! The main topic this month will be probate records as source material, including: setting up probate files as sources (custom templates again); creating custom tags for the various events recorded in probate records; and adding events, doing data entry, citing the probate files as sources, using memo fields and/or adding exhibits. We'll start with general set-up (tables and chairs) at 2:00, and also use that first half hour for general Q&A on TMG. At 2:30 we'll start with the main topic, but there should be plenty of time for discussion. Everyone interested in TMG is welcome! If you are planning to come to the TMG meeting on Feb. 9, please RSVP to: [email protected] This will help us prepare the proper number of handouts. Also, we are reconstructing the local Seattle TMG Users Group address book. If you receive this message only via psroots-l or tmg-l, and wish to be added to the local TMG address book, please let me know at my Seanet address. Thanks!
