"Using the US 1930 Census" at SGS, Monday, 11 Feb. 02 The Seattle Genealogical Society Monday Evening Program on 11 February 2002 features a presentation by Patty McNamee, Archives Specialist and Volunteer Coordinator at the National Archives, Pacific Alaska Region, on "Using City Directories at the National Archives in Connection with the US 1930 Census". In addition to giving an introduction to the 1930 census, which is to be released in April 2002, Ms. McNamee will discuss the research with city directories that you can be doing now in preparation for using the 1930 census, which has neither index nor Soundex. This program combines the previously announced programs for February and March. Newly scheduled for the SGS March 11th Monday Evening Program is "Researching in England", to be presented by SGS member Steve Aberle.
