This is what I was told about Collins Funeral Home: Was on Harvard Ave., in Seattle, went out of business late 1940s. George Geriad? in Everett got the records, then they went to Cassidy and then Purdy: Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home 1702 Pacific Avenue Everett, WA 98201 (425) 252-2191 As to the fee Evergreen-Washelli charges for looking up records, it is the only funeral home I have run into so far who has asked for any money. It was explained to me that the reason might be that they keep the old records in a separate building and, apparently, it's more of a problem to look them up as opposed to having the records in the same building. I have gotten quite a few records from various funeral homes for my own research and even asked for some for a man in Sweden and every funeral home I asked sent what they had. I always enclose an SASE for their response. Gloria Lester >>^. .^<< ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
