Just wanted to share about the "good laugh" I had upon receiving the following in today's mail in Seattle, Washington. A sales flyer/promo from The Family News, 1181 S Parker Rd Ste 105, Denver, Colorado 80231-2152: "Contributing Vogelpohl Family members --- in conjunction with The International Vogelpohl Family News --- proudly announce "The Year 2003 International Vogelpohl Family Yearbook" a yearbook celebrating the last 2000 years of Vogelpohl History. I hope everyone on this list is aware of not falling for this when the literature is mailed to them regarding their family name. Just think ... information on TWO THOUSAND years of family history. Audrey - I got one of these as well... "2000 years of KOZY history". What they failed to realize is that Kozy is shortened from Kozachenko (a Ukrainian name), as well as the fact that I've seen Kozie, Kozy, etc. as a shortened version of Polish names too! My husband was actually born as a Kozachenko, and when he was 12, they shortened his name, so we only have 38 years of KOZY history in our own family! ;-) These people will try anything, won't they?
