SGS Monday Program abt "Using Maps for Travel and Research" on 9 Feb 04 Seattle Genealogical Society Monday Evening Program Monday, 9 February 2004, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. "USING MAPS for TRAVEL and FINDING the SITE OF YOUR GENEALOGICAL INTERESTS" Speaker: Barbara Raemer The Internet sites and software programs that Barbara will show have been used for a number of years in all of her trips for pleasure and genealogical research. The first three will be the Internet sites: GNIS, NACO and MapQuest. She uses the software programs MS Streets and Trips, Delorme Street Atlas, and Eartha Global Explorer to plan the trip. During a trip, do you make changes in your plans? She does and won't leave home without her computer, Pocket PC, and these programs. She also brings patience and hope. Join us Monday, 9 February 2004 and learn how Barb plans her travels and what type of paper maps can be useful. We will meet in the SGS Library at 6200 Sand Point Way NE, across the street from the US National Archives, Pacific Branch. Parking is available on the nearby streets. On the Metro Transit #74 & #75 bus lines. Accessible to the Handicapped.
