    2. Yes, the Every-Name Index of the 1910 U.S. Census of Washington State being produced by Washington State Genealogical Society volunteers is laid out by Soundex code. Please check out http://www.rootsweb.com/~wagenweb/1910/ This website has a Soundex converter. Below the converter are the click-on links to the Soundex files containing the indexed records. Please note that each link is titled with the Soundex Code and Given Name of the first person listed in that file. Example: For file entitled "B232WEST": The first record shown is for: B232 Bocktuzy, West, 54, bp IN, Whatcom Co., Kendall Precinct, ED 340, Page 88A, line 13. The last record shown is for: B260 Baker, Riley, 40, bp IN, Yakima Co., Upper Naches Precinct, ED 280, Page 122A, line 12. The next file is entitled "B260RITA": The first record shown is for: B260 Booker, Rita, 5, bp WA, Columbia Co., Dayton Ward 2 Precinct, ED 37, Page 32B, line 74. I hope you will give this index a try and volunteer to help index the remaining counties. Bob Witherspoon

    3. Bob, This is very nice work. Wish I had time to help. I found lots of my KINDLE family in Lewis County and Snohomish County. Slick technology on the Soundex converter and links.
