Heritage Quest Research Library is holding a class on Newspaper and Census Research this coming Saturday, January 17, from 9:00 to 11:00 at the library....909 Main Street, Suite 5, Sumner WA 253-863-1806. The cost is $10. The class will be taught by Ellen McKanna (census) and Sue Perrault (newspaper). Ellen has been asked to add some information on researching Canadian census and as she's very familiar with Canadian research she's agreed to do this. To sign up for the class call the number above or just show up next Saturday. Plan to spend the day and get some research done while you're down here. For anyone who hasn't been to the library we have an outstanding collection of both books and film with over 51% of the federal census and the entire 1930 census for Washington state. We also have the entire Washington Death Index on film and fiche. The Internet Genealogy class scheduled for Saturday, February 7 has been cancelled. Saturday, February 21 Jeanine Barndt will be teaching a class called Hidden Treasures at HQ. This will also be held from 9:00 to 11:00 at the library. This one's a freebie. HQRL has raised it's non-member daily use fee to $5 per visit so this is a way to spend the day, try us out for the cost of the class, and see if you like what we've got. Our Wednesday hours have undergone a change as of January 1st. Extended hours on Wednesdays will now be 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We're open 7 days a week and those hours have not changed. Still 11:00 to 4:00. Hope to see some of you at the class. Sue
