Hello all. Hoping to find some long lost cousins out there. Searching for descendents of James and Cyrus HOLMES, who both lived in WA from about 1904 until thier deaths. (see dates below) General info- Cyrus Holmes and his wife Emma NICHOLS moved out to WA about 1904 and had lumber mill in the Everson area. I know of only one child, Avis, and do not know if they had any other children. Cyrus was living in South Bend by 1923, when his brother James died. No other info on Cyrus and Emma. James Holmes and his wife Lena lived in the Blaine area. They had 4 known children- Erick Holmes, Mrs Harry Nielson, Lee Holmes and Florence Holmes. Names obtained from James' 1923 obit. Lee Holmes recieved his 8th grade diploma in 1921 in Blaine. Have found some references of (who I believe is) Erick Holmes in a 1948 diary, living near Concrete with a Cecille and Jo. (wife and son perhaps?) James and Cyrus were followed to WA by a sister, their father, and a brother. Myrtle Holmes and husband Charles THOMAS (my grandparents) came to Lynden about 1910, later joined by father Alex Holmes. Guy Holmes lived for about 25 years in Easton PA before moving to Lynden about 1940. Here is Alex and all his children. Alex HOLMES was born Sep 8, 1835 in Washburn, ME, died Jul 1, 1921 in Blaine, WA. He married (1) Margery ELLIOTT. He married (2) Jane NICHOLS (sister of Cyrus's wife Emma) daughter of Steven NICHOLS and Lois RAFFORD. Children of Alex HOLMES and Margery ELLIOTT are: James W. b. Jun 10, 1860, Washburn, ME; d. 1923, S.Bend, WA; Cyrus E. b. Jul 1, 1863, ME; d. May 10, 1933, WA; Florence, b. Abt. 1874. Margaret b. Abt. 1876. Children of Alex HOLMES and Jane NICHOLS are: Guy, b. May 14, 1885, Washburn, ME; d. May 7, 1952, Bellingham, WA; Myrtle Estelle, b. Apr 22, 1888, Washburn, ME; d. Mar 2, 1956, Bellingham, WA; Elliott b. Abt. 1880; Jenny b. Abt. 1880; Ruth b.
