Hi, I'm trying to help someone from another state find her half sister. I posted Janice's story earlier. I need to know where birth records for the 1940's would be kept. It is possible the child may have been born at Madigan (if that was around way back then) as the father was in the military. Where would I go to look at divorce records? I know the marriage records will be at the Pierce County Annex. My parents moved to Tacoma in 1947 from SE Kansas. I'm really good at find records in Labette Co KS, I just don't have a clue about my home town. All help appreciated.
