Grace in Lynden probably has more information on the GRACE family than is available at my web site. I've been after him for years to get email so we can compare notes more often.) My GRACE relatives were from the South; North Carolina, Mississippi, Arkansas before migrating to Washington Territory around 1890. An ancestor uncle (or cousin) Frank GRACE married Lily POLK. Her father was a cousin to President Polk -- both had the same name, James Knox POLK. Frank and Lily lived in Sedro-Woolley for most of their married life. I think both are buried in the cemetery there (Lily for sure). Their daughter, Ruby, was the namesake for Ruby Creek/Dam. . . . . and so forth. Frank GRACE was an "uncle" through my maternal grandmother's line and my cousin by marriage through my Mom's sister. You think that is confusing? Well, my paternal grandmother's parents were cousins, too! Our family tree looks more like a rambling vine. Have a great research year!
