Nice response to the Everett Herald, Andi. And for anyone who is interested, my mother passed away on January 19th. Lillian Elvira Ford Partee was born 9/26/10 in Seattle General Hospital, Seattle, WA to George Richard and Harriett Laura (Towers) Ford. She was the second of four daughters and one son. Lillian spent her growing up years on Alki Point and their house had the first telephone. She found an Indian grave on the beach. She graduated from Broadway High School, and attended junior college in Venice, CA specializing in millinary design and construction. She married Howard Kenneth Partee in 1932 and during the 1950's they operated the Pantry Shelf Grocery at 16th and Madison on Capitol Hill. My father, Howard, preceeded her in death January 6, 1984. She is survived by Evelyn R Partee Flint Huff and five grandchildren, 3 gr- grandchildren, and is greatly missed by her kitty, "Babe." Funeral was January 22 at Yarington's in Seattle, burial at Lakeview Cemetery. Thank you for letting me share this on the list. Evelyn
