Sydney: I found a reference to Capt. Louis P. Locke in Gordon Newell's the "H. W. McCurdy Marine History of the Pacific Northwest", but no Fred or Leonard. Louis was Captain of the Princess Sophia, according to Newell, and headed a 75 man crew ... responsible for a total of 343 people on that ill-fated voyage. There's a wonderful account (wonderful is NOT appropriate here) of the disaster in the Newell book. Another reference, this time using the initials ... Capt. L. P. Locke served on the Lorne at one time. HI Fredi, Names... Fred S. Locke (father) and Leonard P. Locke (grandfather) . Leonard went down with Princess Sophia in 1918. Fred worked out of Edmonds in the early 40's and then to Pioneer Sand & Gravel on the tugs. I am looking for pre- 40's info. Anything appreciated.
