Doty, who established a sawmill there in 1900. According to the Tacoma Public Library Doty is a town on the Chehalis River 19 miles west of Chehalis in west central Lewis County. Once it was a busy sawmill town, but has been inactive since the largest sawmill moved out in 1929.
