You can get microfilmed railroad records available through Interlibrary Loan. They loan a maximum of six rolls per patron for a period of three weeks. The loan fee is $2.00 per title, plus $2.50 postage and handling. All request must be submitted by a library, archives, or historical society on an ALA-approved form of via OCLC. Separate titles/series must be submitted on separate forms. Inventories and roll lists are available for these materials for a fee of $2.00 each (1-10 pages), plus $.20/page (over 10 pages). Sounds interesting, since the Great Northern RR was the "ancestor" of todays Burlington Northern. My grandfather was a brakeman on the GN between Spokane and Wenatchee for many years until he died in 1942 so I would really like to see these rolls. Thanks, Pat Jorgensen
