Hello, I am researching my ggg grandfather Samuel Thompson Grimmett from Thurston Co., WA. I have a couple of questions with hopes that someone out there might be able to help. 1st. He moved to WA from Mo in about 1900, any one know what was going on during that time that would encourage such a long move? 2nd. The county library that I live will not do microfilm request from other states and I would very much like to find out about a murder on November 24, 1904 about 10 miles southeast of Olympia. It involved Samuel's son Jake in an act of self defense. It is my understanding that it is not the counties, but I couldn't find a Thurston Co and am taking a chance that someone might have access to the old newspapers. Thanks for any help.
