The article in The Herald on Sat. did not mention that information had been furnished that in 1965 an article appeared in the paper to the fact that two men, well known by name to me, had cleaned brush and debris at Snohomish Cemetery and counted in excess of 60 gravestones at the time (1965), after the Hwy2 cut out of the near middle of the Cem. Perhaps 10 to 12 are in the replica cem. at the Old Snohomish Village, aka Pioneer Village with bldgs brought in and placed upon that North part of Snohomish Cemetery, called by the City, Parcel C. Even if there were 15 stones, or 20 - WHERE ARE ALL THE TOMBSTONES, when no more than 15 went out to the GAR when vandalism threatend to destory the oblisks and other stones from destruction, even tho the remains were not removed there. The Court Hearing will reconvene at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday Oct 13th. when more witnesses will be heard. The courtroom was filled - mostly with Sr. Citizens who came from Snohomish to attend the hearings.
