B6 http://heraldnet.com/search/ Article: Snohomish County pioneer, 102, dies Author of this article not given. COMMENT: Surnames Wolgemuth, Helma's married name;Jackson (Helma's maiden name). Helma lost her mother at age 12; her father fell ill with T.B. (tuberculosis of the lungs) tho he was a mountain man. She rode the Interurban (the famous, historic RR transportation system that never should have "died" in our area !) Seattle - Snohomish, WA where she visited her father confined to a TB sanitarium in Snohomish. (I can readily relate to that place - it was call Aldercrest San., as I spent 2.5 yrs. myself confined in that same place until 1947 when I was able to return to my home in Snohomish on 2nd St.); however, Helma's father died after 6 mos. at Aldercrest; Helma was just a teen.
