I thought I'd heard it all - but the Mason County Kentucky list has a new one. Someone asked how to find records from a funeral parlor called Porter and Sons. Apparently it was in business for decades. Turns out there are absolutely no records available, because !!!! Mr. Porter had them buried with him! All the paperwork, all the picture portraits from the lobby, it all went in a box in his grave. Talk about digging up records.... Diane Hettrick
I thought it was illegal to have anything but the clothes buried with a human? In SF, this past weekend at the AGS conference, we had a bus tour through Colma, the town with 16-17 cemeteries and only 200 living residents. We were told there is a famous Hell's Angel buried with his motorcycle there. I wonder if I can take my computer... Andi ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diane K.
