Sie lebten in der Nähe in Sokoligora, Kreise Briesen. Ich frage mich, ob er in das preußische Militär gedient und das ist der Grund, warum er zum ersten Mal im Alter von 25 heiratete. He married a Prussian woman in Gollub in 1873 at the age of 25. They lived nearby in Sokoligora, Kreise Briesen. I wonder whether he served in the Prussian military and that is the reason he married for the first time at age 25. Are there records available from this time? How would I obtain the information? Hello Denise, there are lot's of good reasons that make people getting married at the age of 25. But Ignacy possibly had to wait until he was of age. Up to 1876 in Prussia you were of age when you had 25 years. After being of age he did not need a marraige permit from his parents any longer.
