    3. Hi - I am trying to find birth records for my 6x g.grandfather who was said to have come from Markbrandenburg. His name was Hiob/Hjob or Job von Printz or von Printzen and he was said to have been born in 1677. He died in Denmark in 1740 at the age of 63 years and he is buried at Garnison Church, Kobenhavn. His earlier military records show that in 1707 he received a permit to travel for four months to his home in Markbrandenburg - his coat of arms is an owl. Any help would be much appreciated - Melva

    3. Hi Melva, "Mark Brandenburg" was a German dukedom, today Brandenburg is a "Bundesland" in Germany. I have found Marquard Ludvig von Printzen who was burried in 1735 in Kobenhavn (Garnison). Is this a relative of your family ? If your answer is "yes" there should have been any connection to Marquard Ludwig von Printzen (born in 1675, died in 1725) who was a minister of the duke of Mark Brandenburg since the name Marquard Ludwig von Printzen is really not common. This Marquard Ludwig von Printzen could have been the brother of your ancestor (born in 1677). Maybe your ancestor Hiob went to his home in 1707 when his brother Marquard Ludwig married. I didn't find any biographical information of Marquard Ludwig von Printzen online, such as parents, birthplace, etc., but I guess this is the family you are looking for.
