Hi Wanda, you should start your research in Torgau whose church records are in the Church Archives of Magdeburg: website: http://archive.ekmd-online.de/portal/archive/2-archiv-magdeburg/ (with e-mail-address) Those records begin already in 1581, maybe some of them (concerning the 19th century) are filmed by the LDS church. I can't check this, since the LDS site actually don't work.
