    3. G'day everyone Does anyone have access to city directories for Berlin for the period 1941-43, ie during the Second World War? My step-father's first wife, Antonia Lyon-Smith (1925-2010) was arrested in Paris in 1943 and held by the Gestapo for several months. In her book (Little Resistance written under her second married name of Hunt), there is a photograph of a note with a Berlin address, but no person's name. It's apparently the address of the Gestapo secretary who befriended her. This morning, I've received information from the National Archives in London on the Sonderkommando Rote Kapelle. It includes a listing on the members of the Kommando, including the secretary, Fraulein Kemper. The LDS have copies of the 1941-43 directories in Salt Lake but unfortunately they are not available on microfilm. So I'd like to know if there was a KEMPER family listed as living at: Honowerstrasse 23, Berlin-Kaulsdorf in the early 1940s. (I believe the family was bombed out in late 1943 - early 1944, but should be there earlier). If so, it'll mean that I will have been able to identify the secretary who befriended Antonia when she was in Gestapo custody. Happy Easter everyone David Armstrong Maylands, Western Australia
