It might be worth noting that Prussia was a county and two provinces... Leipzig is a city. You might check wikipedia to see if that sheds some light on your dilemma. Hi Kerry, Leipzig has always been town or city, in comparison with Prussia which was a country and with all the border changes in the past 300 years or more, things can get complicated. But back to your Luschwitz, I found some on ancestry, some emmigrating to America, some I found in Australia on electoral rolls. Are you in Australia or in America. If you could give me a time frame with the names in questions approximante birth dates are always of help, I can dig around a little to may be find your Luschwitz ancestors.
