Hi Vera, according to: Altpreußische Geschlechterkunde, volume 15 (1942/1943), page 115-117: ******* Before the Protestant parish of Bialystok was founded (in 1847), the Protestant of this town belonged to the Protestant parish of Grodno (from 1813-1840) resp. to the Prussian military priests (from 1796-1813), since this part of Poland belonged to Prussia from 1793 to 1815. ******* Today Grodno is in Byelorussia. The LDS church don't have Protestant church records of Grodno from the period about 1835 (only records from 1874-1883). Maybe in the State Archives of Byelorussia you will find some records. I don't know since I am not family with Russian genealogy. I hope, this may helpy ou.
