What is important in regard German migration to Australia is that they came into four different state ports and for four different reasons. They also came from four different main locations in Prussia. The "Daniel Ross" passenger list lists a "Antoni Mella", however all records in Australia refer to him as Antoni Melzer Became A/an Citizen 11 Jan 1872; stated 43yrs old, & born ?Hesobists, Central Prussia. I have been at a 'dead end' now for several years. I can not even seem to be able to find where Central Prussia was/is. I thought if I found the area then I maybe able to work out the town name.
