    3. The above subject was a news release that appears to have shown up as spam to some list members. To quote the Monday, June 18, 2007 issue of THE OREGONIAN, page 2 under the heading; Washington, "DNA lab joins Web site on family histories". The article goes on to state that ".......a new partnership between the Internet's largest family history Web site, Ancestry.com and Sorenson Genomics, a privately held DNA research firm". It is interesting to note however, that the Sorenson (previously BYU) test in the past was free, but the article opens with "For less than $200 and a cheek-swiped cotton swab, amateur historians will be able to add DNA results to family tree Web pages". Information at another Web site pointed out that if you had previously submitted your DNA to Sorenson and you did not wish to have it included you would have to write (?) requesting it not be included in the partnering relationship.
