Hello, MAUREEN ~ I looked at an index of Familienkundliche Nachrichten queries and found 'Ewert - see Meier-Ewert'. What does this mean? I've never known my GPs or GGPs to be called 'Meier-Ewert'. Is plain 'Ewert' an ethnic German name or 'Siess' (may be my GGM's surname)? I found the index at http://cefha.org/de/gi/fana/fana-idx.html. I wasted all those semesters taking Spanish!
