"Googling" what you're looking for, the first hit return took me to a site where "Walther," as you stated, is the equivalent of the English "Walter" in German. There were several other hits for places you could check. Additionally, did you check Cyndi's List in the Germany section? She has a couple of web sites to review on this subject as well as a e-mail list where you could submit the query.
