My John Jacob THODE married Marie EINSTEIN sometime after 1820. They were born about 1795-1805. As far as I can tell, Marie was born about 1803. No idea of location, but know that two children, Edward and Augustus, were born near Otterndorf, S.H. Germany. They had another brother Henry who also came to the US. Son Carl has no info, and I believe he died as child in Germany. John Jacob died in Germany. Marie came to US to be with sons Edward and Augustus in Jo Daviess County, Ill. Henry was in NY City at least until near 1900. Believe other siblings were Caroline, Katherine, and another sister whose name I am not sure of. What church records would I look for to hunt for them in S. H.? Thank you in advance for any information.
