Hello Listers, I'm not sure I have the right mailing list, but I'm trying to find a way to get information on or from Germany. My husband's ancestors are: Gottfried STOLDT, born in 1838 in Farenwaldt, Stetin, Germany. Married Caroline MOLDENHAUER in 1863 and they came to America in 1873 (to Michigan). Caroline's obituary says she was from Damrow, Prussia, Germany. I would like to find their parents, etc., and any other information I can about them. I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks in advance. If you know their religion and you have access to a Family History Center (LDS) they may be able to order a microfilm of the church records. I had great success by doing exactly this.
