Yes, but absolutely the best source will be church records in the USA (or whatever country they immigrated to). Ships lists often omit those details. Naturalization orders often give only the country (or king) being repudiated. Declarations of intent to naturalize, I'm told, often contain more detail, but these are often lost. Happy Hunting.
